Rebeka Hatházi was born in Cluj-Napoca. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Set Design at the University of the Arts in Târgu Mureș, and later completed the “The Art of the Short Film” master’s program at the Faculty of Theatre and Film of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. She is currently a second-year PhD candidate at the same faculty, while also working as a set designer and graphic designer at the Csíki Játékszín Theatre.
Her work focuses primarily on theatre, film, and visual arts. Her short film “April Twenty-Seventh” (Április huszonhét) was created as her master’s graduation project, while the sketch film “October 3” (Október 3.) can be seen as a preliminary study for that work.
