-– International Painting Showcase —
8 August | 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Hornsey Town Hall, London
We are proud to present the inaugural edition of Common Ground—a new event series created to celebrate contemporary art, music, and cultural exchange through a carefully curated combination of exhibitions and art markets. Each edition will focus on a different region, artistic community, or cultural narrative, creating a platform where artists and audiences can come together, connect, and discover new perspectives.
We begin this journey with The Transylvanian Edition, an evening dedicated to the rich creativity and artistic diversity of Transylvania.
The exhibition will showcase a curated selection of paintings, sculptures, and contemporary artworks by several exceptional Transylvanian artists whom we are privileged to represent and collaborate with. Their works reflect a wide range of styles, stories, and artistic voices, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the region’s vibrant contemporary art scene.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors will have the chance to browse an art market, meet artists, engage in conversations about their work, and enjoy an inspiring atmosphere where creativity and community meet.
Throughout the evening, the exhibition will be accompanied by a series of live solo performances:
5:30 PM – Dan Tarbuck
The evening’s live music programme begins with a performance by London-based producer and songwriter.
6:00 PM – SZOU!
The exciting English Pop & Roll artist, known for energetic performances and an unmistakable musical style.
7:00 PM– Vlad Cămpean
Romanian cellist based in Paris, whose expressive performance will provide a beautiful conclusion to the evening, blending classical elegance with contemporary emotion.
Adding another layer to the day’s creative programme, Common Ground will also feature a Creative Writing Club Corner, hosted by Lexi. This welcoming space invites visitors to pause, reflect, and explore their own creativity through words. Whether you’re an experienced writer or simply curious to put pen to paper, the Writing Corner offers a relaxed and inspiring environment to connect with fellow creatives, exchange ideas, and celebrate the power of storytelling alongside visual art and live music.
Whether you are an art collector, music lover, or simply curious to discover new talent, Common Ground – The Transylvanian Edition invites you to experience an afternoon and evening of contemporary art, live music, and meaningful cultural connections.
This is only the beginning. Common Ground will continue to grow with future editions highlighting different artistic communities and cultural landscapes, creating new opportunities for artists and audiences to meet on common ground.
We look forward to welcoming you on 8 August at Hornsey Town Hall for the very first chapter of this exciting new journey.
