Flowering Flowers, the exhibition by Csomortányi Gál László, was held between January 10 and the end of February 2026 at Annie Klaus Gallery. The event brought together visual art, music, and ancestral memory in a refined and deeply symbolic dialogue.
The concept of the exhibition centered on reconnecting contemporary audiences with the eternal sources of folk culture — the symbols, legends, traditional songs, and archaic prayers that have nourished the intellectual and spiritual identity of this region for centuries. Through his works, the artist sought to revive the “eternal symbols of simple, yet incredibly complex forms” found in folk art, reinterpreting them in a contemporary visual language.
The opening evening offered a remarkable interdisciplinary experience, linking visual expression with musical tradition. Works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Philipp Telemann were performed by violinist Vlad Baciu of the Opera Națională Română Cluj-Napoca, as part of the We Are Classics chamber music platform. This artistic dialogue between sound and image deepened the atmosphere of reflection and harmony that defined the exhibition.
Flowering Flowers stood as more than an exhibition; it became a contemplative journey into a nearly forgotten worldview — one where tradition and contemporary expression met, and where art reawakened memory, identity, and spiritual depth.
