Könczey Elemér

He lives in Cluj-Napoca.

He graduated in 2001 from the graphics department of the Ion Andreescu Academy of Fine Arts in Cluj-Napoca. He is a freelance graphic artist, caricaturist, and university lecturer.

His first caricature was published in 1994 in the Szabadság daily newspaper of Cluj-Napoca. Since then, more than 3,000 of his drawings have appeared in various Transylvanian publications. In 2002, his trilingual (Hungarian, Romanian, English) book Without Text, containing 222 selected drawings, was published by Erdélyi Híradó Publishing House. In 2009, his book Fejadag was released by Exit Publishing House in Cluj-Napoca, featuring 365 drawings created between 2002 and 2009.
